An unlucky 1-2 last night. We got a win with the Kings defeating the Flames 3-2 – and man, was that a tight ending with Flames coming back from 3-0 down to make it 3-2. Exciting finish.

Tampa lost to Phoenix in a shootout, and after 3 goals in the 1st period and 2 goals in the 2nd period, the Penguins/Capitals had a very quiet 3rd period offensively and couldn’t go over that Over 5.5.

Thoughts are with Rich Peverley, who collapsed on the bench last night. Very scary stuff, and it was nice that they canceled the game due to that. Hopefully Peverley is okay, and I know Scott prayed extra hard last night.

Before we get to the tips, we’ve got some great news.

$10 Free Bet – No Deposit Required:

We’ve managed to hook up an EXCLUSIVE deal with the online sportsbook GT Bets, for a $10 free bet without any deposit required. GT bets is a solid sportsbook with one of the best rewards programs online.

And yes – Americans, as are practically everyone else, are eligible.

Here’s how to get the $10 free:

  1. Click this link.
  2. Register an account. Use the promo code NHLBETS. Leave referred by field blank.
  3. After registering, contact customer support via chat, phone or e-mail. Let them know the promo code NHLBETS and your account ID.
  4. Boom! $10 free in your account.

You get to place ONE bet with that $10, on NHL sides or totals. You only recieve the WINNING amount. So generally for a promotion like this you want to try and go with an even money bet approx. Your winnings have a 10x rollover in the sportsbook.

On with the NHL Betting Tips for March 11th, 2014:

Oilers vs Wild Betting Tips: Wild -1.5

Going with the handicap here at higher odds of 2.50, although there’s a nice price of 1.83 for the Wild in regulation time.

Wild have played the Oilers twice this season, and dominated them 4-1 and 3-0. They also battled well last time out against St Louis, and generally play well at home.

I like the Wild to do the business here and have a relatively easy win over Edmonton. You can get these prices at http://www.5Dimes.eu for Americans(Need to register to see lines) and and http://www.Bet365.com for everyone else.

Sharks vs Leafs: Sharks in Regulation

Toronto played last night, and while they came out winners in a nice 3-1 victory over the Ducks, they’ll be tired going into this tricky road game. San Jose have been very solid at home lately, including big wins over the Habs and Penguins.

I like San Jose to continue their nice run, and if the powerplay unit starts functioning better – look out. The handicap is appealing, but I’m sticking with the safer regulation pick at 1.76 odds at http://www.5Dimes.eu for Americans(Need to register to see lines) and and http://www.Bet365.com for everyone else. because Leafs have been great at keeping games close.

Red Wings vs Blue Jackets: Under 5.5

This is a big game for both teams, and I like it to be tight. Mrazek is starting who has a GAA of just 1.64 and has been solid. Bobrovsky has been great as well. Very important game for both teams, and I think they will both approach it cautiously.

Bet the Under at http://www.5Dimes.eu for Americans(Need to register to see lines) and and http://www.Bet365.com for everyone else..

Howard actually has the start for Detroit. I still like the Under because every time i take the over against Bob i lose.

happy canadian

GT Bets withdrawal options kind of suck. Huge fees to withdraw

BetNHL.ca

Yeah that is one negative for sure. I spoke to them and they said they’re hoping to add a bunch of e-wallets soon which will hopefully allow for much lower(or non) fees.

Nigerians are allowed to register on the website, such a shame
