After having a 2 goal lead, the Habs managed to let the Bruins back in the game and it took until the 2nd OT for it to be decided but the Canadiens pulled out the victory.
That was a huge win for the Montreal Canadiens last night and what a game from PK Subban. He scored twice and played over 33 minutes of important hockey. He wants to be part of the discussion when talking about the best defenseman in the NHL and after a game like that it certainly helps his cause.
This was a crucial game and with that win the Habs took away home ice advantage from the Bruins. This is going to be a great series and a long one also.
For tonight we have 2 more round 2 series beginning. Its the Rangers vs the Penguins and the Wild vs the Blackhawks. This is going to be another good night of playoff hockey
For the two games tonight we will have two tips so let’s get to them.
Rangers vs Penguins: Penguins Win
Although the Penguins got through the first round, they did so without the expected production from their star players. Instead it was Jokinen, Sutter and others who carried them to the series win. Malkin did score a hat trick in game 6 but those were his first goals of the series.
The Rangers just finished a rough 7 game series against the Flyers so you have to wonder how much they have left in them against a team like the Penguins.
I expect Crosby, Malkin, Neal and Kunitz to have a much better series this round and it starts tonight for game 1.

Not great odds for the Penguins win but this game and more during this series may need OT. If you think the Pens can win in regulation then the odds are much better at 2.05.

Wild vs Blackhawks: Blackhawks in regulation
I think the Wild may be in over the heads in this series. The Hawks are used to this after making the playoffs for the last 6 years and advancing to the 2nd round 4 times during that stretch.
For the Wild this is the first time in 11 years they have made it to the 2nd round. In the playoffs experience is one of the most valuable assets to have and the Hawks have plenty.
The Blackhawks love when they play at home and after winning 4 straight against arguably the strongest team in the West, the St. Louis Blues, you have to like the Hawks chances not only to win this game but the series.
I think the Hawks come out flying in this game to take the early series lead.
