Yet another solid night of both hockey and betting last night as we went 1-1. We had tipped the Senators to beat the Blue Jackets and boy were we wrong with that one. The Jackets played an amazing game scoring 4 unanswered goals beginning in the first period and ended the game winning 4-1. We picked the Blackhawks to have a strong bounce back game against the Sharks and they didn’t let us down. They traded goals through the first two periods but scored 3 in the 3rd and came out on top of the Sharks 5-1. Kris Versteeg scored his first goal since returning to the Hawks and also added an assist.
Other highlights from last night; Alex Ovechkin scored twice to help the Capitals beat the Blues 4-1. The Kings and Rangers had a nice close game with the Kings winning 1-0. The Wild beat the Jets 2-1 and the Stars beat the Canucks by a score or 2-1. Not a lot of goals last night but some great close hockey.
Congrats to the Hamilton Tiger-Cats and the Saskatchewan Rough Riders who will be playing each other in the 101st Grey cup
Only 3 games scheduled for today. The Bruins vs Hurricanes, the Duck vs the Penguins which will be a fun one to watch and the Flames vs Jets and again we couldn’t agree on all 3 games, the Ducks Pens game, so we are going with 3 tips..
Bruins vs Hurricanes: Bruins to Win
The Hurricanes are getting hit by the injury bug and hard. They are with out Joni Pitkanen, Jeff Skinner, Cam Ward the list just keeps going. The Bruins style of play will overwhelm the depleted Canes team and this game could get out of hand.
The Bruins have had an up and down season so far but are looking like hey may have found their stride and could go on a winning streak at any moment.
We are getting a decent set of betting odds for a Bruins win in this one at 1.71 so this is a low risk high reward bet. Bet the Boston Bruins to bet the Carolina Hurricanes at Bovada for Americans and http://www.Bet365.com for everyone else.
Flames vs Jets: Jets to Win
Both teams are playing poorly this year and it was expected. The Flames have surprised a lot of people with their ability to win some games this year after dismantling the team in their rebuilding effort.
The Jets have a lot of young and talented players and a very strong blue line but for some reason or another they haven’t been able to take the next step to become a legitimate contender
We like the Jet in this one not only because they are at home where they have played their best hockey so far this year but also that the Flames have a horrible away record and also lead the league in goals allowed.
Bet the Winnipeg Jets to beat the Calgary Flames at Bovada for Americans and http://www.Bet365.com for everyone else. for 1.61 betting odds
