An interesting night last night with the betting tips.

Bruins/Wild went over for us as the Bruins ran out 4-2 winners in a hard fought battle.

Montreal completely dropped the ball(puck?) against the Coyotes. I guess the Habs are so good they wanted to give the Coyotes a 3 goal head start? Very curious to see how things go with Pricey back.

We lost the value bet on the Avs. They took the lead against the Penguins, were blitzed in the 2nd period and tried to get back into it but it was just too late.

In the OHL we went 2-1 with our two 2.15 odds plays winning which was really nice.

What’s interesting is all we talk about here are the plays that we make – but we never talk about the plays that we don’t make.

I actually mentioned some of this in the comments yesterday. There were 3 bets we were EXTREMELY close to making last night. We were very tempted to take Rangers due to the odds – could get them as high as 1.90. There were many reasons to take Rangers/Lightning over 5.5 goals. And similar with the Capitals/Stars Over 5.5.

In all 3 of those we decided not to take them – and that worked out perfectly because every single one of them would have lost.

It’s something to think about when you’re betting – keeping track of those bets that you don’t make, and realizing that you made the right call. It can be a good little confidence booster. There can be nights where we’ve went 0-2, but I look back at our notes from that day and see that we could have went 0-4 – and then I feel a lot better.

Of course it doesn’t always work out. Sometimes you’re kicking yourself for bets you didn’t make that won. But it can be a good learning experience. It’s part of our daily routine – we analyze the games from the nights before, and the games we didn’t tip and why we didn’t tip them.

For example – Sharks vs Flyers had just 1 goal in it. Should we have been on the Under there? Why weren’t we? What did we miss?

It’s a great exercise looking back and trying to provide tips retroactively.

Alright – on with the NHL Betting Tips for November 20th, 2015:

Leafs vs Hurricanes Betting Tips:

The last 4 times these two have played it has actually went the Hurricanes way – with them also sweeping last season. Although the first win last season was December 19th – just after the Leafs bubble had burst.

We have to take the underdog Leafs tonight though. Carolina are struggling and haven’t won a game in regulation this month. The Leafs meanwhile have been playing some excellent hockey both at home and on the road.

Just look at their road games recently. Very close matches against the Capitals and Rangers, and victories over the Stars and Predators. That’s impressive and we have to go with Leafs Winning and continuing their run.

The line is 2.05 at most places, but you can get a whopping 2.19 at 5Dimes. US, Canada, Europe etc accepted!

Blackhawks vs Flames Betting Tips:

Blackhawks are coming into this one off a hard battle against the Oilers. They’ve got an excellent 7-0-3 record against the Flames in their last 10. Keith coming back has helped them.

These two teams played 5 days ago in Chicago. Blackhawks won 4-1 there and while we expect a tighter game – we’ve got to go with the Blackhawks to repeat.

Canada: 1.72 Odds at 5Dimes.
USA: +119 Odds at 5Dimes.
Everyone Else: 1.72 Odds at 5Dimes.

OHL Betting Tips:

Another winning night! I’ll tally up our results this weekend. We’re up a good 3-4 units I believe.

Take the Peterborough Petes to win tonight at 1.71 odds.

Sarnia/Owen Sound Under 6.5 is a play! Bet that.

You can bet the OHL at Canadians: Bodog and 888 Sports.
Americans: Bovada.
Everyone Else: 888 Sports.

Habs at 2.15 vs Isles is too juicy not to play.
