There was only 3 games yesterday.

The Leafs beat the Red Wings 3-2 in Sweden. The Leafs were down 2-0 after the 2nd but scored 3 in the 3rd for the win. The Jets beat the Sabres 3-2 with Perfetti scoring for the 5th consecutive game and the final game of the night was the Panthers vs the Ducks and the Panthers won 2-1

13 games for us today and with another game from Sweden, it’s a full day of NHL action with the first game starting at 11am ET and the last starting at 10:30pm ET so it’s over 12 hours of hockey. With the games starting early I need to get these out as soon as possible.

Wild vs Senators Betting Tips:

Another game in the Global Series from Sweden.

I am avoiding this game, as I have with all the games from the Global Series

Knights vs Flyers Betting Tips:

The Knights continue to be one of the best teams in the league. They have gone 6-3-1 over last 10 and are in 1st place in the league with a 13-3-1 record. They are scoring 3.59 goals per game and allowing 2.35.

The Flyers are on a 3 game win streak and are in 5th in the Metro but only a point behind the Rangers who are in 2nd.

Looking at the records of these teams depending on where they play the Knights are 5-2 away from Vegas and the Flyers are 3-4 in Philadelphia.

I want to take the Knights but the Flyers at home on their win streak means they could give them a run here.

Blackhawks vs Predators Betting Tips:

I don’t know about this one.

The Hawks are in 7th in the Central with a 5-9 record and the Preds are in 8th going 5-10.

The Hawks road record is 4-5 and the Preds home record is 3-4.

The fact that the Hawks have a shot here has me worried and it’s tough to back them as my personal bias would play a big part in my pick.

Oilers vs Lightning Betting Tips:

The Oilers have came to life after firing Woodcroft winning their last 3 games. They are going to need to keep winning to try and dig themselves out of the hole they are in from the lousy start of the season they had.

The Lightning are 4-4-2 over last 10. They are allowing more goals than they score.

I want to take the Lightning here but I can’t.

Sure the Oilers are playing well at the moment but I still don’t have any faith in them and the Lightning are 1-3 over last 4 games getting shutout twice over that stretch.

Penguins vs Hurricanes Betting Tips:

Both of these teams have had bad seasons based on the preseason projections.

The Pens are 8-7 and in 6th in the Metro, the Canes 9-7 and in 3rd in Metro. Both have gone 6-4 over last 10.

At home the Canes have gone 4-1 and on the road the Pens have gone 5-2.

These teams have had similar results this season and it really could go either way.

Rangers vs Devils Betting Tips:

These are always good games between two long time rivals in the Battle of the Hudson.

The Rangers have won their last 3 games and have gone 9-0-1 over last 10. The Devils snapped their 3 game losing skid in the last game and are 5-5 over last 10.

The Rangers are 6-1-1 on the road and the Devils are 3-3-1 at home. I like the Rangers to win here but Hughes is a game time decision which has me worried.

Rangers incl OT/SO if Hughes doesn’t play

Canadiens vs Bruins Betting Tips:

The oldest and biggest rivalry in NHL history that dates back to 1929.

The Habs won their game against the Bruins a week ago 3-2 in overtime. But before that then Bruins had beaten Montreal 9 straight times.

The Bruins are ranked 13th in GPG and 1st in GAPG. They are 6-0-1 at home. The Habs are ranked 22nd in both GPG and GAPG and are 2-2-2 on the road.

With the Canadiens on a 3 game losing skid on the road against the Bruins who they just beat I like Bostons chances in this game to get some payback. Would need to take them -1.5. The Habs have had a bunch of games need extra time and the Bruins have also had 2 go to extra time this month.

Islanders vs Flames Betting Tips:

The Isles come into this game losing their last 7 games in a row. They are 5-6-5 this season.

The Flames have won 2 straight but are 6-8-2 this season.

Either team has giving me any reason to back them. Both are allowing more goals than they score. The Isles road record is 2-3-2 and the Flames home record is 3-3.

I feel like this game could go either way but with Huberdeau scoring for the first time in 11 games it may give him a boost which will be huge for the Flames.

Flames incl OT/SO

Coyotes vs Jets Betting Tips:

They played each other on November 4th and the Jets won 5-3.

The Coyotes are scoring 3.31 goals per game and the Jets 3.67. The Coyotes are allowing 3.00 per game and the Jets 3.27.

This is another game that could go either way. The Coyotes have gone 5-3-2 over last 10 and 4-4-2 on the road. The Jets are 6-2-2 over last 10 and 4-3-1 in Winnipeg.

Would lean towards a Jets win but the Coyotes can have some decent games plus the Jets played last night.

Jackets vs Capitals Betting Tips:

The Jackets have lost 7 straight and are 1-7-2 over last 10. The Caps have won 3 straight and are 7-2-1 over last 10. These teams played each other on November 4th with the Caps winning 2-1.

I want to take the Caps here as they have been decent at home going 5-3-1 but they are ranked 31st in GPG scoring only 2.36.

I’m skipping this one.

Avalanche vs Stars Betting Tips:

This is a big game.

The Avalanche are in 2nd in the Central 10-5 and the Stars are in 1st going 11-3-1. The Avs have won their last 2 games and the Stars their last 4. On the road the Avs are 5-3 and at home the Stars are 4-2.

The Avalanche are scoring more goals per game and the Stars are allowing fewer. This should be a great game between the top teams in the Central. As Graeme has mentioned before the Avs are a hard team to try and predict. They will have some great games but can have games where they look nothing like they should.

Kraken vs Canucks Betting Tips:

The Kraken aren’t a team that has shown me any reason to back them. They are 4-4-2 over last 10, ranked 29th in GPG and 24th in GAPG.

The Canucks lost their last game but are 7-1-2 over last 10. They are ranked 1st in GPG and 4th in GAPG.

On the road the Kraken are 3-3-4 and at home the Canucks are 6-0-1.

I do like the Canucks chances in this one.

Canucks in regulation

Blues vs Kings Betting Tips:

The Blues are 6-4 over last 10 and in 5th in the Central. The Kings are 7-1-2 over last 10 and in 3rd in the Pacific.

The Blues are a better home team going 6-2 in St. Louis vs 2-4-1 on the road. The Kings are the opposite where they are great on the road going 7-0 but are 2-3-3 in Los Angeles.

In GPG the Blues are 25th and the Kings 3rd, in GAPG the Blues are 7th the Kings 8th.

If this game was being played in St. Louis then I’d be all over the Kings

New Jersey -104

Took the Devils yesterday when I saw they opened home underdogs and Jack Hughes was a full participant in Fridays practice. The word is he will play in this game. There may always be some rust after the time off, but he was on a tear before the injury. Meier I think will still be out, but the Devils now have three solid lines to roll out at home. Shesterkin may also potentially start for the Rangers.

The Devils opening home underdogs didn’t make any sense to me so I had to grab them. The line has moved, but I do still see -110 which would still have some small value with the Devils at home. Both teams offense are being driven by successful power plays. The Rangers are getting it done with solid goaltending, whereas that’s the biggest weakness for this Devils team. I do not feel like the Devils are automatic in this spot I just liked the value on the opening line. The Rangers have some very weird metrics that make me feel they should have more than two regulation losses on the year.

Gonna also go with some To Score props for the Edmonton/ Tampa Bay game. I have the most confidence in Point. And the least confidence in Kane and debated leaving him off. But these have a weird way of working out.

TB Point +150
TB Hagel +250

EDM Hyman +160
EDM Kane +185

Full Game OVER 6.0: Pacific Coast Showdown
To WIN moneyline: Cowtown Marshmallow Roasters

Those two games look solid.
Islanders just had a back-to-back on the road, aren’t doing well, and they are now finishing up a road trip after only 1 day off in the cold dark NW loop, which puts them in a very vulnerable position, while the Flames crew are rested enough and have got many things going right, after lots of experimenting and frustrations. Still have to consider the puckline.

Vancouver really buzzes the ice these days; they’re fast, clever, effective, confident. Seattle should at minimum show up to can a couple. Over seems like where it’s gravitating. It’s the San Juan Showdown, the new rivalry, so they should put on a good show.

Still looking at more options, such as the Jets game to go OVER a low level like 5.0 or so. Still looking for options in the Rangers and Kings games. Not a lot of time on this today. Cheers and best of luck folks.

Had Tampa in regulation, also got Calgary in regulation and Vancouver -1.5. Was considering Boston -2.5, but decided to skip that one.
