Two tips yesterday and we went 2-0.

First tip was we took the Flames to win draw no bet and this was a very easy win for us as the Flames won 4-0.  The Flames scored in each period and Mangiapane scored his 15th of the season which has him tied for 2nd with Ovechkin.

Next we had over 5.5 in the Capitals vs Kraken game.  The Kraken almost went over by themselves in this one when they won 5-2.  Schwartz had a goal and 3 assists for Seattle.

The Leafs shutout the Islanders 3-0.  Woll picked up his first career shutout and 2nd win in the victory.  The Coyotes beat the Kings 2-1 in overtime and this was the Coyotes first winning streak of the season.

The Blackhawks beat the Canucks 1-0 and this was Fleurys first shutout of the season.  The Lightning beat the Wild 5-4 in a shootout in what was a great game with both teams trading scoring two in a row.  The Rangers scored in the last second to best the Sabres 5-4.

For today we have 6 games.

Hurricanes vs Sharks Betting Tips:

The Canes have been incredible this year.   They have won 4 in a row including the past 3 on the road to start their six game road swing.  They had a tough game on Saturday against the Kings where they had the lead 4 times only to have the Kings tie it. But they did win the game.

Of the Canes 14 wins this season only 1 was in extra time so taking them in regulation seems like the right play here.

Blue Jackets vs Sabres Betting Tips:

The Jackets are favored to win here.  The Sabres are slumping right now.

Of the Jackets 9 wins this season, 5 have came in overtime so that doesn’t give me much confidence going with them here.  And with the Sabres going 2-7-1 over their last 10 games, I have no confidence in them either.

Knights vs Blues Betting Tips:

The Knights have been a resilient team this year.  Despite missing so many key players they keep finding ways to win going 5-1 over thier 6 game homestand.

The Blues are slumping now.  They played the Knights in October and won so they may see this game as a way to get back on track.  Was leaning towards the Knights to win here but for one reason or another I just can’t make it a tip.

Ducks vs Predators Betting Tips:

The Preds have lost 2 in a row after winning the 3 straight before that.  The Ducks lost their last game but are 8-1-1.

The Ducks are on a run and I wouldn’t be surprised if they won this game.  They won their last 2 road games but they were against teams who haven’t had a great season, the Canucks and the Kraken.  The Preds lost their last game but Duchene came alive in the loss and that may give them momentum moving forward.

Penguins vs Jets Betting Tips:

The Penguins have won 2 in a row and have gone 4-4-2 over their last 10.  The Jets have dropped 2 straight going 5-2-3 over their last 10.

I was leaning towards a Penguins win but then I see the Jets home record 7-1-1 and got cold feet.

Senators vs Avalanche Betting Tips:

I wanted to take the Avs in this one.  They have won 4 straight and are taking on the poor Sens team.  Even an Avs -1.5 win is only 1.74 so not any value for the risk.

But the Sens are playing their first game since postponing their last 3 due to a Covid outbreak on the team.  I have no idea how they respond and will instead skip this game.

To win ML and Puckline: Anaheim
I was going to spring on the Anaheim win at -1.5 but don’t see it available; bookies swung in the other direction, and the Anaheim win at -1.0 is 3.38! They’re giving 1.48 for Anaheim at +1.5. That’s beyond generous. I don’t get it. Anaheim has a 16-2 PL record, 6-1 on the road, they’re off 3 days off and this road trip is only two games, with no back-to-backs. Anaheim plays Colorado next so they’ll want tonight’s two points banked. Anaheim takes very few penalties and is 94% on the penalty kill. Nashville wins against crap teams and gets shut down against very good teams. Live dog!
