It was a nice and busy night of NHL action yesterday and a great night with the tips as we went 3-1.

We had the Habs to win in regulation against the Sabres and they did 3-0.  It was the return of Carey Price who made 36 saves in the shutout.  Price had missed 10 games but looked fine in this one.  The win snapped the Habs 5 game losing streak.

We had the Knights to win against the Coyotes and they did winning 4-2.  For Vegas this was their 5th straight win and are in 1st place in the Pacific.

Because Budaj and Jarry got the starts we went with Over 5.5 in the Lightning vs Penguins game.  The Penguins won 5-2.  Crosby and Kessel both scored twice.

Our loss was our tip of Over 5.5 in the Islanders vs Sens game but this stayed low when the Isles won 2-1.

A slow day with only 3 games and we couldn’t come up with a tip.  The Grey Cup is today and it’s the Stampeders vs the Argonauts.  This is going to be a great game and as an Argos fan I am obviously pulling for Toronto to win.

Game Thoughts

Predators vs Hurricanes – Preds on a streak right now but the Canes are a tough team to predict.  The Preds are also a team that can shit the bed.

Canucks vs Rangers – Canucks are a decent road team and the Rangers are a decent home team.  I would like to take the Rangers but it’s Vancouver’s road success that puts me off.

Oilers vs Bruins – Oilers are bad so far this year and are dealing with a flu bug right now.  The Bruins have won 4 in a row but are going with Rask in this one.

Great success last night going 4-1. Ended up adding vegas last minute. Unfortunately the Jets couldn’t score so the over didn’t land for a perfect night but whatever.

I like how the Canes are playing right now but both of the teams and Ward are hard to predict. Also the odds went down a bit on Canes so I’ll stay out of this one.

I’m going for Bruins ML though. It’s easy to see that the Oilers are having issues now and Talbot is out of the net. They have lost 4 in the last 5 and the only win was mostly Detroit playing terribly bad that night. I’m relying on Rask being sharp tonight with his comeback despite a bad start earler this season.

Darling is in net.

Oh my bad. Thanks for the heads up. In that case the odds are oddly high on Preds. I’m taking +0.5 at 1.66 for a couple of small parlays.

Tonight’s picks:

Predators ML
Bruins ML

***My last 10 picks: LLLWLWWWLW***

gooby

Not yet, but probably will play.

Franky

nope! looks like the bookies knew something we didn’T

Oliver Trigg

Saros in net not Rinne.

Won with the Blues, Islanders and Vegas yesterday- unfortunately the Jets didn’t do anything to add to the bank. I have a different take on today and see plenty of opportunity for some cash. Let’s make the wallet fatter today.

Nashville ML- Carolina have only won 4 home games all season; posting wins against a weak Panthers side and notoriously bad on the road sides Islanders and Stars, with the inconsistent Wild being their other win. Nashville managed a 2-0 win against the Blues the other day, and that speaks volumes. Nashville come into this having won 9 out of their last 10 games and yet are the underdogs? Rinne is likely going to be in net and has a 2.48GAA and 6-2 record against the canes. Ive got to ignore the Preds historical troubles against the Canes here, theyre just far better. I’ll happily take Preds at this underdog price even if G&S have a Predator paranoia. This is possibly the best spot to back the underdogs all season, because Nashville really shouldn’t be the underdogs at all.

Rangers ML- I keep riding the rangers wave and it keeps paying out. The Rangers have only lost twice in their last 11 games and both were away games. The Canucks are a good road team, but their recent road wins (which I backed) came against teams struggling for form- Penguins, Flyers and Kings. Having watched the Rangers games and seen Lundqvusts imperious form I’ve got to play them again here.

Bruins ML- This is probably only the second time I’ve tipped the Bruins all season. The last time being against the Penguins a few days back. I’ll take them again here. The Bruins have now won 4 of their last 5 and are gathering steam. Meanwhile the Oilers (who have the flu) are still floundering and look among the worst teams in the NHL; seriously getting beaten 3-1 by the Sabres takes some serious skill or lack thereof. I don’t see success following the Oilers to Boston.

Lost 2.5 units last night.
Tonight:
Predators, Rangers and Oilers with one;
Predators with 5 units;
Arvidsson, Grabner and Drasaitl with half unit.

Oliver Trigg

Talk about lucky on the goal scorers! But congrats, maybe I’ll get on the next one.

Lucas longpré

My tips for today to win : Nashville , Vancouver and Boston good luck

Geir Aage R Jensen

Oilers win Reg with 10 units!

Good luck everyone!

Oliver Trigg

I don’t think I’ll ever understand the reasoning behind your tips lol

Would say the same but.. Hockey seems to be one of those sports where the worst teams can beat the bests, compared to e.g basketball and football where such things occur rarely, at least in my experience.

I am tipping Bruins 100% myself, but I am not surprised if Edmonton still wins by 2 goals.

Geir Aage R Jensen

I was first on Boston to win, because of resent form and stats, and Oilers is really bad. But then i changed my mind, is it going to turn around for Oilers:)

Oliver Trigg

Yeah but how many times should the Oilers have turned their season around so far?? Bruins are actually riding a streak..

Geir Aage R Jensen

They should have turned it around allready, but hockey is hockey 🙂

Good luck with yours picks!

gooby

Told ya..

Javier Garcia

Thanks, Oilers won!
