It was a busy schedule yesterday with 12 games.  We had 3 tips and went 3-0 but it was far from an easy night.

First I had the Lightning in regulation against the Sens.  The Sens were up 2-1 after the 2nd.  The Lightning tied it but the Sens responded 40 seconds later to retake the lead and a minute later the Lightning scored to tie it up.  With just over 2 minutes left in the 3rd Kucherov scored to take the lead and they held on for the 4-3 win.

Next I had the Bruins to beat the Penguins and this game was insane.  The Bruins were up 2-1 after the 1st.  The Pens opened up the 2nd scoring 4 unanswered until Marchand scored to bring the score to 5-3 Penguins.   The Bruins scored twice late in the 3rd to tie it up and force overtime where Lindholm scored to give the Bruins the 6-5 win.

Finally we had the Devils to beat the Canucks and this one was easier on the nerves as the Devils won 5-2.

The Oilers seem to have found their game.  They beat the Preds 7-4 with Draisaitl having a goal and 4 assists, Kane scored a hat trick and McDavid scored 2 and had 2 helpers.  The Oilers have now won 5 in a row and are in 2nd in the Pacific.

The Coyotes beat the Panthers 3-1 to pick up their first win at Mullett Arena.  The Kraken beat the Flames 5-4 in OT.

The Knights won 3-2 in overtime against the Caps, I was leaning towards a Knights win but it would have had to have been in regulation so I’m glad I skipped it.  The Rangers beat the Flyers 1-0 in OT.  Overall it was a pretty eventful night.

Only 2 games today.  There is a couple I like but not enough to make a tip. And after having a good night I’m nervous to force a tip just to have one.

Flyers vs Leafs

The Flyers played last night and lost 1-0 in overtime.   The have lost 2 in a row.

The Leafs have lost 4 straight but are at home for this one where they have gone 3-1.

The Leafs are the heavy favorites here and even if I took them -1.5 the odds are only 1.76 which aren’t worth the risk.  The Leafs are struggling offensively scoring only 2.70 goals a game and over this 4 game losing skid they have scored only 9 times.

There is value in taking the Flyers +1.5 and I am going to go with that myself but I don’t have enough confidence to make it an official tip.

Penguins vs Sabres

This should be a good game between two of the stronger East teams.

The Penguins had a crazy game last night and are still on the road here where they have gone 1-4-1 this season.  The enter this game on a 5 game losing skid.

The Sabres have won 2 straight and are 2nd in the league in GPG with 4.11.

I am tempted to back the Sabres in this game where they are the home team underdogs but the Pens really need to snap this losing streak.  I have to skip this game but would lean towards a Sabres win including OT/SO.

Good evening from Germany, what a time to be alive, especially when you get games like that in Pittsburgh. Hope and think they were mad all night long, at the airplane and in the locker room. With that in mind and the fact, that this year the Sabres are able to score goals this game should be high-scoring and that’s why I go with o6,5.

Furthermore I go with Bunting to score any time for the Leafs.

Good luck everyone!
