We had only one tip yesterday and we won it.

We had the Maple Leafs to beat the Wild and the Leafs won 4-2.  Kadri continued his strong play scoring the first goal of the game, his 9th of the year.

The Rangers beat the Bruins 4-2.  The Rangers scored 3 times in the first and held on for the win.  Vesey scored twice for New York.

The final game of the night was Lightning vs the Sharks and the Lightning won 5-1.  The Sharks opened the scoring only 25 seconds into the game but the Bolts responded.  Kucherov scored his 15th of the season and added 2 assists.  He now has 26 points in 16 games so far this year.  Linemate Stamkos has 28 points in 16 games.  It’s nice to see Stamkos change up his game to be more of a playmaker after being a sniper for his career.

A nice night of hockey for us tonight with 7 games scheduled.  Let’s get to the tips for Thursday, November 8th.

Coyotes vs Blues Betting Tips:

The Coyotes are bad.  Really bad. They are 2-13-2 on the year and Hjalmarsson is out who is a steady presence on defense.  They are in  last place in both the West and and league.

The Blues look great this year.  They’re 12-3-1 including 6-1 on home ice.  They are riding a 2 game win streak into this game. Over the last 10 games against the Coyotes they’re 10-0.

This falls just barely under our 1.70 limit but I’m still going to go with Blues in regulation  .  With my luck recently I don’t feel confident taking them at -1.5

Oilers vs Devils Betting Tips:

I may be the last person in the world who still has faith in the Oilers.  They’re in 2nd last place in the West but fortunately for them there is still plenty of season left for them to turn things around.

The Devils have surprised everyone with their success this season.  They sit in 4th in the East and 2nd in the Metro, only one point behind the Penguins.

The Devils have lost 3 in a row and are only 4-3 at home.  They first of those 3 losses came against the Oilers who won 6-3.

Oilers win

I see great value on a couple of dogs tonight, such as Red Wings, Canucks and Bolts.

I’ll update this post with my bet(s).

What about Kings and/or Hawks going over5,5?

The home/away situation with Tampa and LA strongly suggests an Over.

Wow, that’s a lot of confidence for a team that will be playing its 6th game in 10 days, has lost 4 of its last 5, is on the 3rd leg of a 4 game road trip, starting its 2nd string goalie and is playing a team that has won 4 of its last 5. Oh, one more thing, the Forum is probably one of the toughest barns in the whole league.

Serviette Sky

still calling it the Forum ? love it !

SanDiegoBruinsD

Old school

Gorilla

SDB, any picks today? Love em.

SanDiegoBruinsD

Agreed. Very difficult to find sharp bets today. I’m taking Bolts-LAK Over 5.5. I only post here so keep checking.

Fantasterific

SanDiego,thanks for best picks!!!!

SanDiegoBruinsD

Thank you, just posted today’s picks.

Iceman

San Diego you are very precise with your picks and I love them?

Oliver Trigg

Dubynk is in goal? But yeah would still rather take Montreal

Mojo

Montreal should slaughter them

SanDiegoBruinsD

Perhaps Alanson knew that Drouin and Shea were out?

AlansonD

Alanson knew that Drouin was a game time decision and figured out that Lindgren won’t go 3-0-0. Minnesota needed the points more and they had a recent good h2h record. At all it was based on the decision of my program.

SanDiegoBruinsD

Well played!

Western RattlersD

To WIN: St. Louis
UNDER: Vancouver/Anaheim
OVER: Tampa/LA
No leans: So many teams are inconsistent!

Ben862

Anyone else think there’s value in Devils ML tonight? Oilers seem to be very inconsistent and haven’t won 2 games in a row this year. After they beat NJ 6-3 I thought they would get another win at home against Detroit but ended up giving a very poor performance.

Serviette Sky

could be. hard to call

Western RattlersD

Not risking it because NJ has just lost three in a row, including one to Edmonton, and the loss to Calgary (a very inconsistent team) was not a back-to-back. NJ has a clear goal scoring advantage over Edmonton, but defense is a vulnerability.

Gorilla

I’d rather bet on Devils goals.

Mojo

I like NJ, shouldn’t be a dog to Edmonton. I’m from Edmonton and have said for a long time this team isn’t very good. Slow unskilled wingers, defensive core that has problems transitioning the puck up ice. As long as Talbot doesn’t stand on his head like he did last year Devils should win.

St.Louis win
Red Wings ML
Canucks win
Tampa Bay ML

Good LUCK!!!

Oliver Trigg

St Louis Reg- straight forward with Arizona having only won 3 times total in their history against the Blues, and the huge contrast in form of the teams.

Montreal ML- have to go with this just because of how badly the Wild are playing right now. I think Montreal will be out for revenge here, and their improved form will carry them here. No Price, but Lindgren has looked good.

Devils, Habs…love it! Lean Canucks and Kings

LeDemonBlond

LeDemonBlond Project 2/10
Habs ML

SanDiegoBruinsD

Tough card today; not a lot of value to be found.

Habs seem to have righted the ship winning 6 of last 8 games. They are riding the hot goalie Lindgren and are averaging almost 5 gpg in the last 6 games. Meanwhile Wild are playing their 6th game in 10 days, have lost 4 of their last 5, are on the 3rd leg of a 4 game road trip and are playing in a tough arena. I think Claude has the Habs ready to play and they pick up a win in regulation +109.

St. Louis is playing the hapless Yotes (you have to feel sorry for that team right?) who played Caps and Pens tight but on the last night of their road trip will be gassed and ready for their own beds. Too bad for them, they have only one home game before they go out on the road again. Who does this scheduling? Anyhow, Yotes will get destroyed and I’m putting one unit on the PL.

Finally, I like the over in the Bolts-LAK tilt. Both teams are playing really well and finding ways to put the puck in the net. I was surprised this wasn’t a 6 o/u so I’m glad to take the over 5.5.

For fun, I’m putting a small bet on the Bolts to win the 1st because they are usually a fast starting team and Kings are slow. +191

Oliver Trigg

Been waiting on you all day man! Haha

SanDiegoBruinsD

good luck bro, hope my tips make you some money

Mojo

Drouin and Weber out, still thinking Habs but nervous

SanDiegoBruinsD

With those two guys out, it might be a good idea to hedge your bets.

Mojo

I ended up leaving it alone. Parlayed Under 20 first half in the Seattle/ARZ game with Blues ML

Also have ARZ +6.5 with Under 40

Habs still win i think but not worth betting

AlansonD

😀

SanDiegoBruinsD

Blues and Habs let me down last night, but my three bets on the Bolts-LAK game saved my night, the game easily went over, Bolts easily scored 3 goals and won the first period. I’ll try to check in early with today’s thoughts.
