We go from a dull one game Sunday to a manageable four game Monday.

No official tip in yesterdays Sens vs Stars game. Just a slight lean towards the Sens which I hope you took advantage of. Just a pure math play there.

It’s a night with three heavy favourites in the Leafs, Flames and Blues. Hopefully that means there may be some underdog value.

Let’s analyze the games and see what we got:

Flyers vs Kraken:

We’ve only seen the Flyers once in action. A feisty 5-4 loss to the Canucks in a shootout. Canucks had that massive 2nd period where they scored all of their goals with the Flyers PK being decimated.

Kraken play their fourth road game. They’ve beat the Preds, lost to the Knights and lost to the Jackets in OT. They have two more road games then host the Canucks on Saturday in their home opener.

Flyers have a lot of injuries. With being a new expansion team I feel they are the more hungry and motivated as well.

I don’t really see any reason NOT to take the Kraken here. Through three games they have shown they can battle and are up for it. Flyers DID look excellent in that 1st period against the Canucks though. Makes me want to go with something involving them in the 1st period.

Actually the more I look at it and that Flyers – Canucks game, the more respect I have for them. That 2nd period was a bunch of flukey goals etc, Hart played well, 1st period performance was excellent. Hart also looks pumped to redeem himself. Wasn’t down like he would be last season.

Flyers to win the 1st period – if tied it’s a push.

Leafs vs Rangers:

Leafs look to protect their perfect home record as they play their first regular season game against a non-Canadian team in what feels like years.

That team is the New York Rangers who haven’t looked great this season. Matthews is expected to play tonight.

You’d have to hope that is the sort of lift the Leafs would need. Kakko out for Rangers. Strome is not able to play again.

It’s so easy to get burnt by the Leafs, but this seems like a good spot for them to win outright. They should likely cover the handicap as well but we won’t go that far. Leafs in regulation if Matthews plays.

Flames vs Ducks:

Flames in their home opener. Excellent value on Ducks especially with Gibson playing. But I just can’t advise betting against a team in their home opener based on how this season has gone so far. Plus 5 on 5 I felt the Flames did well against the Oilers and they may be solid this season. Easy one to skip.

Coyotes vs Blues:

Coyotes in their home opener. Yet even at 2.50+ odds it’s just hard to back this team isn’t it? After the two road losses it makes this one even more important for them. Blues looked good in that Avs game though. Can’t advise anything.

Good evening from Germany, no bets for me this weekend. Begin of season is always exciting to watch, but also heavy to bet. For today I feel insecure with the games too, so no bets for me again.

All the best for your betting tips!

to WIN: Toronto, Calgary
Lean only: St.Louie to win
Toronto is just too loaded with talent and spark to not take this game. Anaheim isn’t nearly the offensive talent level or speed of Edmonton and Calgary will be hungry to right the ship fast, after a loss to their rivals up the highway, and the Flames have the talent, speed and coach to focus on a win, as a home opener. Blues are playing fine, and Arizona sucks so far. However, Blues usually just aren’t a consistently dominating team even when playing well, so who knows when they’ll tank, and to lose against the Coyotes right now, is to tank. Blues also aren’t high in the “shots taken” column. Hutton in net for the Coyotes, too, is good for the Blues.

Dunno why carter Hutton is starting the home opener for Arizona. He had just 1 win in 12 starts last year. Save percentage under 90 last two seasons. Arizona has struggled to score first two games and I don’t know where the goals come from on a consistent basis. They’ve already allowed 3 power play goals on 5 attempts as well. Giving up two late goals to Colorado in a game they otherwise looked in control of will hopefully have the blues focused to play a complete game that shouldn’t be close.
