We had only 2 games yesterday and 1 tip but we went 1-0.

Our tip was the Blues to beat the Knights and they did winning 3-1.  Binnington had a good game making 42 saves in the win.  The Knights had the 1-0 lead after the 1st but the Blues tied it in the 2nd and added 2 more, including an empty net goal, in the 3rd.  The Blues are now 3-0 on the season.

The other game was the Bruins vs the Flyers.  I was worried that the Bruins would make a game of this and couldn’t make the Flyers win an official tip.  I wish I had and hope you followed our bet at least.  The Flyers won 6-3.  Cam Atkinson scored twice for the Flyers.

A slow night yesterday with only 2 games to a much busier night with 10.

Hurricanes vs Canadiens Betting Tips:

At this point I feel it’s best to just bet against the Habs.   They are 0-4 and haven’t given us a reason to back them.

The Canes have played only 2 games this year but they have won both of them.

Until Montreal gets out of their skid I’ll take the opposing team.  If the Habs pick up the win, then so be it.   Decent odds for the unbeaten Canes against the winless Habs too.

Hurricanes win incl OT/SO

Everyone Else: 1.85 Odds at BetOnline.

Sharks vs Senators Betting Tips:

The Sharks are 2-0 but those wins came against teams struggling at the moment, the Jets and Habs.  The Sens are 2-1 with their wins coming against the Leafs and the Stars.

The Sens get Tkachuk back for this game and Matt Murray will also be making his season debut.

With those two back and playing at home I like the Sens to win here.

Senators win incl OT/SO

Canada: 1.93 Odds at Sports Interaction
USA: -104 Odds at BetOnline.
Everyone Else: 1.90 Odds at Bet365 (Americans: We recommend http://www.bovada.lv

Canucks vs Blackhawks Betting Tips:

The Canucks haven’t had the best start to the season.  They have gone 1-2-1.  They are a good team and I expect them to have a good year.

The Hawks have had a terrible start to their season going 0-3-1.

I would love to take the Hawks at home to pick up their first win of the season but I just have no confidence in them to do that.

But the Canucks haven’t yet given us a reason to back them either so I’ll skip this game.

Islanders vs Blue Jackets Betting Tips:

The Islanders picked up their first win of the season in their last game when they beat the Hawks.  The Jackets took their first loss in their last game when they lost to the Red Wings.

The Jackets first two games, both wins, were against weak teams, the Coyotes and the Kraken.

I like the Islanders chances to win but they haven’t shown us anything yet this year to back them with any confidence so it’s a skip for us.

Capitals vs Devils Betting Tips:

Both teams have had some success to start the year.  The Caps are 2-0-1 with wins over the Rangers and Avalanche and an OT loss to the Lightning,  the Devils are 2-0 with an OT win over the Hawks and they beat the Kraken.

I like the Caps to win but the odds just aren’t there so I’ll skip this game.

Avalanche vs Panthers Betting Tips:

This is going to be a good game between two of the better teams in the league.

The Avalanche have MacKinnon back and Landeskog returns from his suspension.   The Panthers will be looking to pick up their 4th win in a row to start the season.

I think this is a game to avoid betting on and instead just watch whatbis sure to be a good one.

Oilers vs Coyotes Beating Tips:

The Oilers are 3-0 but have put their starting goalie Mike Smith on injured reserve.  The Oilers will now be running with Koskinen until Smith returns.

The Coyotes haven’t won a game yet and with them at home against a team missing their #1 goalie you would think this is the game for them to pick up their first win.  But I feel it best to just avoid this game.

Ducks vs Jets Betting Tips:

The Ducks have been a surprise so far in the early part of this season.  On paper the Ducks look bad and I think it’s only a matter of time until the results show that.

The Jets haven’t had a good start to the year and Wheeler is out with Covid.   If healthy I would take the Jets but they aren’t so I’ll skip this game.

Flames vs Red Wings Betting Tips:

When looking at the data about these teams so far this season it’s easy to skip this game with such conflicting numbers.

Must have been an oversight by Scott. We felt there was slight value on the Preds.

To WIN: Edmonton, Carolina, Washington
Full game OVER 5: Florida, Edmonton
Full game UNDER 6: Islanders
Lean: Anaheim to WIN
Always risky when things seem obvious. I’m considering puckline or more, for Carolina. Oilers will want the 2 points, but have Vegas tomorrow, so they’ll be running lines democratically and conserving energy if they get up 2 goals and can shut down the Coyotes.Puckline there is a possibility, as Arizona is not doing well. I see no weakness with the Oilers goalie situation here. It could be 3-1 or 8-2. Winnipeg is without Wheeler and also possibly Scheifele (“Questionable” status as of this morning), both due to COVID positives. Winnipeg really trends to fail when their top forwards are out. Anaheim is doing great right now, only five teams have scored more goals than the Ducks, and Jets have let in 14 goals in 3 games.

Note: I use Disqus to log in; it’s all working fine except I can’t log out. When I lick “log out”, I get a “403 Forbidden” page, so I’ve been shutting down the page and deleting cache and temp files to purge all trace files.

Thanks will do some testing of that. I’m not sure how it all works as it sets up a local WordPress account for you then connects it to Disqus.

On top of that I’ve got strong cache software on the site to speed things up so that could be causing issues. Will try and explore the whole logging out thing though.

Jets/Ducks o5.5
Sens/Sharks over 6
Flames -1
McKinnon to score

Maybe adding Islanders in-game

Hi everybody! Been following this page since autumn 2019 when I started following much more NHL. Great tips and nice comments so thought to finally join aswell.
For today:
For me, Canes is the pick of the day, Montreal has started this season very poorly and Canes are just a such a good team.
Avs have a good value, allthough I like and respect Panthers.
Caps has started well and I think they should keep going today.
I have to say I like also Rangers, but Nashville is a team that can surprise. Still looking for Rangers to atleast score some goals.
In conclusion:
Hard pics: Canes reg/ml, Avs over 2.5 goals, Caps reg/ml.
Thinking about it: Rangers over 2.5 goals, Laine atleast 1 point (inc. overtime).
As I read in comments, yes Edmonton seems a good pick, but is there enough value? Can’t say. I am going for Puljujärvi to get atleast 1 point. Also Winnipeg is tricky, should start to win with that roster, but they have to prove themselves with that value before I could ever back them.

Good to have you on here brother! Yeah that Canes line I had to do a double take at. If Habs pull it off tonight then so be it man nothing suggests they will. We would have taken Canes in regulation but that extra for the OT was just too good to ignore.
