A slow night yesterday with only 4 games.

I went with the Golden Knights to win in regulation against the Flyers. And it should come as no surprise that the Flyers offense decided to show up finally when I bet against them. They beat the Knights 6-2 ending their losing streak at 4 games. The Flyers had a huge 2nd period scoring 4 times and even after scoring 6 goals the Flyers still haven’t gotten any from van Reimsdyk, Gostisbehere or Giroux this season.

The Blue Jackets vs Maple Leafs game was a good one. It needed overtime to be decided where it was Gustav Nyquist scoring on a penalty shot to win it 4-3 in the extra frame.

The Blues beat the Avalanche 3-1. This was the Avs first regulation loss of the season. The final game of the night was the Senators vs the Stars and the Stars won 2-1. Pavelski scored his 2nd of the season which ended up being the game winner.

For the poll question yesterday we asked “Which team has been the bigger surprise”. With 57% of the vote the choice was the Sabres. Theres no question that both teams have been a surprise this early on, but I agree with the results. The Sabres look amazing and I’m curious to see which of the two teams will have the better season in the end.

A busy night of hockey with 10 games.

Penguins vs Panthers Betting Tips:

Both teams are in the top 15 in GPG. The Penguins were shutout in their last game but before that they were scoring lots. They put up goal totals of 4, 3, 7 and 7 over the previous 4 games. The Panthers last 3 games has saw them put up 3, 4 and 6 goals.

With the Pens looking to get back on track offensively and the Panthers having Barkov available I like this game to go over.

Oiler vs Wild Betting Tips:

Based on these teams record this year I have to back the Oilers in this game.

They have lost only once in regulation this season. The Wild have only 2 wins through 8 games so far. Last season home ice wasn’t an advantage for them as they went 16-18-7. So with the Wild at home it doesn’t sway my thoughts

Getting some good odds for an Oilers win so with the odds and each teams record I like their chances here.
