It was another winning night with the NHL Tips with our lone tip of the Devils/Senators Over 5.5 Goals working out.

That one ended up being a 9 goal thriller that the New Jersey Devils won in overtime.

The biggest upset of the night of course was in Vegas where the Golden Knights went 8-1-0 with a 7-0 thrashing over the Colorado Avalanche.

That was just an insane result. However a big, big road trip is next for the Knights and that’s going to be interesting. It doesn’t sound like they’ll have Fleury for the road trip either which sucks.

Tips are a bit late today as after we looked things over this morning I decided to take a break and watch the Sharks game then revisit everything. I also wanted to watch the Flyers/Leafs line – that one opened at 6.5 goals but I noticed a lot of money going on the under so wanted to wait for it to setlle. It looks like it now has at 6 goas.

Here’s what we’ve got tonight:

Panthers vs Red Wings Betting Tips:

The Red Wings come into this struggling, while the Panthers come into this game with a short term success plan.

They’ve got 4 more home games and they’ll be looking for maximum points from them. They beat the Ducks 8-3 on Thursday and have performed well at home so far this season where their offense really seems to rock. They’re hosting the Red Wings who after a good start are on a free fall of sorts. Wings are still making it hard for their opponents of course but I like the Panthers team mentality.

I’m going to go with Panthers in regulation.

Devils vs Coyotes Betting Tips:

This was one I wasn’t fully sold on but looking into it more, I’m going to back Devils in regulation.

There’s not too much to really think about – the Devils are a winning team and these are the games they should be winning. They struggled a bit going into that bye week but despite no doubt feeling a bit rusty, they battled hard and got the win over the Senators. To begin the season they pounded the weaker teams like the Avalanche and Sabres.

Domingue gets the start for the Coyotes tonight and he’s having a bad season so far.

We’re down with Devils in regulation.

Other Game Thoughts:

Liked Tampa against Ducks but Budaj starting was enough to put me off.

Flyers/Leafs we both liked the over 6 goals and even 6.5 wasn’t out of the realm of possibility of betting. That big line movement earlier coupled with a Flyers offense I couldn’t 100% back was enough to put me off it.

Scott likes Caps/Oilers over. I could see it as the Oilers are turning a corner offensive wise it looks like but just not enough for me at this stage.

OHL / WHL / AHL / KHL Betting Tips:
