Hi all,
We went 2-1 on Sunday with two big wins. The Ducks covered the -1.5 to win at 2.55 betting odds, while the Predators defeated the Jets on the road at 2.20 betting odds for a great night. The only loss was the Canucks who despite 38 shots, could only find their way past McElhinney once.
We skipped last night because…..well I wish there was a better reason than this but we were hungover. We got together Sunday and had too many drinks and neither of us were able to formulate a sentence past “ugh I want to die” on Monday morning.
Quiet night for hockey last night, but a great win by the Avs who are really looking awesome this year.
Let’s get on with the NHL Tips for October 22nd, 2013. Only 2 tips tonight – as honestly there is a lot of tough games and the odds aren’t favourable in a lot of them.
Blackhawks vs Panthers: Under 5.5
Neither of these teams have really lit it up with the goals this season. Other than their opener against the Capitals, the Hawks have scored 2-3 goals per game, while conceding just 1-2. Florida had that big win over the Penguins, but for the most part they’ve been contained offensively.
Chicago haven’t looked too good on the road, being forced to overtime against Carolina and a loss to St. Louis. The 1.5 odds are horrible for them, but we like this one being a close affair and very defense orientated. Flames vs Coyotes: Over 5.5
Calgarys scoring record this season has been nothing short of impressive. Even in games against the big teams like San Jose, they were able to put 3 in against them. The Coyotes offense is also very hot at the moment and are really working well together.
